As part of the My Mountain campaign, our CEO – Kate Blakemore has set herself three challenges.
You are invited to join her for any of them and support Motherwell in doing so.
Join Kate for a mile or more as she walks from the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst in Manchester to that of Anne Lister in Halifax. The total journey is 33 miles and the walk will take place on 22nd and 23rd April 2022.
If you take part, then as well as the support received as part of the My Mountain campaign, you will be offered a 12 week walking training programme.
Join us to climb Snowdon by night on 7th – 8th May 2022. You will be led by a professional guide from Discover Adventure, who will take the group up to the peak before watching the sunrise on your decent. You will enjoy an energy fuelling meal with fellow walkers before setting out – there will be torches but you will quickly become accustomed to the sights and sounds of the night climb. In good weather, you will see the Menai Strait as the sun rises. On your return, there will be a celebratory breakfast and chance to shower and change before heading home.
If you register to take part then as well as the support received as part of the My Mountain campaign, you will be offered a 12 week walking training programme.
Kate’s final challenge will be an open water swim in Liverpool Docks, taking place in June 2021.
Whether you are new to open water swimming or have done it before, you are welcome to join her. If you do so then as well as the support received as part of the My Mountain campaign, you will also receive an open water swimming training programme.
Whether you wish to do one or all three, or just to find out more, email events@motherwellcheshirecio.com – we can’t wait to hear from you!
