Believe, our flagship community support organisation, is thrilled to announce the launch of the expansion of support aimed at providing comprehensive support to expectant mothers. The “Born Into Care Pathway” program is a government pathway for mums who have their children removed from them at birth.
Our Believe project in collaboration with the Leighton Hospital Midwifery Team and alongside the Hope Box Initiative, aims to support pregnant women who will be faced with social removal. The support will offer both practical and emotional support as well as therapeutic support if mum is faced with having their baby removed from Birth.
The program will commence from the 8th week of gestation, with the goal of providing early intervention to prevent future instances of newborns being removed from their mothers’ care. The Believe project recognises the crucial need for proactive support during pregnancy, and the Born Into Care Pathway is designed to fill this gap in care.
Believe’s Born Into Care Pathway will initially be available in Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Winsford, Northwich, Middlewich, and surrounding areas. Additionally, a new member has joined the Believe team to cover Crewe, Nantwich, and the surrounding areas.
Jo, the newest member of the Believe team, expressed her excitement, stating, “My name is Jo, and I am delighted to have joined the Believe team in January at such an exciting time as we grow our services in our community.”
In conjunction with the Believe program, there is also an opportunity to participate in the Believe Ambassador Training, further expanding the reach and impact of Believe’s support services.
Our next training is on 10th July see below for more details.
