The 2025 celebration promises a diverse line-up of activities and attractions:
- Cultural Performances: Local choirs, dance troupes, and musicians will showcase their talents, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Crewe.
- Women of the World Exhibition : A vibrant parade featuring traditional attire from various cultures, celebrating global diversity.
- Marketplace: Over 50 stalls highlighting local female-led businesses, artisans, and charities, offering attendees a chance to explore and support community enterprises.
- Shows and films : Throughout the day there will be short films and shows previewed in the theatre.
Motherwell Cheshire’s founder, Kate Blakemore, reflects on the journey: “It was always my ambition to make Women’s Day a special event in Crewe, bringing together a wide range of women-centered charities and businesses to showcase the great work they do locally.”
Admission to Crewe Women’s Day is free, with donations to Motherwell Cheshire welcomed. The event runs from 10 AM to 3 PM, and all are encouraged to attend and partake in the festivities.
