Motherwell Cheshire CIO, a leading community organisation dedicated to promoting women’s health and wellbeing, is excited to announce a collaboration with the Axess Sexual Health Outreach Team. This partnership aims to provide easier access to essential sexual health services for the local community.
The outreach initiative will take place at the Motherwell CIO HQ at 54-64 Beech Drive, CW2 8RG, on Tuesday, September 19th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Additionally, Axess will be available at the Women’s Health Drop-In event hosted by Motherwell at Crewe Lifestyle Centre on Wednesday, September 20th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The joint effort between Motherwell Cheshire CIO and Axess Sexual Health Outreach Team underscores the commitment to making comprehensive sexual health services readily available to all members of the community. Services provided during these outreach events include STI testing, pregnancy testing, hormonal contraception, distribution of free condoms, and expert advice and guidance on sexual health matters. There is no need for appointments; anyone from the community is welcome to attend these sessions and access the services. Simply drop in and ask for Demi, the designated representative from Axess.
Carys, a spokesperson from Motherwell Cheshire CIO, emphasised the importance of breaking down barriers that prevent individuals from accessing sexual health care. “It’s crucial that we address the challenges people face when seeking sexual health services. Stigma, lack of information, and limited accessability often deter individuals from taking care of their sexual wellbeing. By partnering with Axess Sexual Health Outreach Team, we aim to remove these barriers and create a safe, open, and judgment-free environment where individuals can access the care and information they need.”
The events at Motherwell CIO Headquarters and Crewe Lifestyle Centre provide a unique opportunity for community members to engage with healthcare professionals, receive accurate information, and gain access to vital services that contribute to their overall health and wellbeing.
