Upcoming group to support, and empower young women
Motherwell Cheshire’s Inspire project will be expanding their New wave feminist movement by launching a new empowerment group outside of schools.
This group will be providing a safe space for girls to focus on their wellbeing and self empowerment with the aims of:
-Building confidence, and other important life skills
-Developing friendships, and having meaningful interactions
-Encouraging opportunities to create positive change in their local community
We are working closely with young service users to inform the set up of this group, ensuring their voices are heard and that the services we provide are tailored to the needs of our community.
When asked about their experience participating in Inspire empowerment groups, young women said ‘’I feel like my voice is heard and matters here’’, and ‘’This group is a safe space for me’’.
